EMPLOYEE HIGHLIGHT
Karin Pritchard has been a valued member of our Finance department since 2013. She began her career with Escalade as an Accounting Clerk after graduating and displayed great enthusiasm for the field of accounting. Within six months, she was promoted to the position of Accountant, and she currently serves as our Accounts Payable Supervisor. Karin finds great satisfaction in applying her extensive knowledge and strong work ethic to meet the needs of our managers and ensure seamless closing periods.
Outside of work, Karin can often be found in our onsite state-of-the-art gym, indulging in her passion for working out and striving for top scores on our Peloton leaderboard.
An interesting fact about Karin is that despite not knowing how to swim, she is always spending time in the water. During the summer, she can be spotted boating with her family on the lake or river.
When asked about the best career lesson she has learned, Karin shared the following: "You can do more than what you think you can. I gave up on my career when I was 20, as I intended to become an interpreter of languages (English and French) but didn't complete my studies. Upon moving to the United States in 1998, I worked as a waiter for several years before deciding to return to college. Through dedication and sacrifice, I was able to pursue my accounting career, devoting countless hours to study and forgoing family time for the sake of my and my family’s future. Graduating with high honors was something I'm incredibly proud of, especially as an immigrant at that time."
